esport.is is an independent esports media and data platform. This page describes how we produce, verify, and update our coverage across all games and content types.
esport.is covers professional esports across CS2, Valorant, League of Legends, Dota 2, Rainbow Six Siege, Overwatch 2 and more. Every article is written by a named author with a specialist background in the relevant game. Authors are identified by their role, expertise tags, and years of coverage — see the full team on our Authors page.
We cover live match scores, tournament results, team rankings, roster moves, patch impacts, and competitive meta analysis. Our reporting draws on official tournament data, team announcements, player social media, and established esports industry sources including HLTV, Liquipedia, Riot Games, Valve, and official league operators.
Live scores, team rankings, match schedules, and player statistics are sourced from PandaScore, Valve's official CS2 regional rankings, the Riot Games LoL Esports API, OpenDota, and direct Liquipedia data. Data is refreshed continuously — match data updates every 30 seconds during live events.
For team and player profiles, we cross-reference PandaScore with Liquipedia and official social accounts to ensure accuracy. A full breakdown of our data pipeline is available on the Data Sources page.
Every article on esport.is is attributed to a named author. Our writers are specialists — not generalists — who cover specific games they have played at a high level, followed as long-term fans, or reported on for years. Author bios, expertise tags, and publication history are publicly visible on each author's profile page.
We hold our writers to the following standards: • All factual claims must link to an authoritative source (official team announcement, tournament operator page, or verified player statement) • Match result articles are cross-checked against multiple data sources before publication • Analysis and opinion pieces are clearly labelled as editorial • Corrections are made promptly with a visible update note
esport.is uses AI writing assistance to accelerate match reporting and news coverage. All AI-assisted content is reviewed, edited, and published under the byline of a named human author who takes editorial responsibility for the final piece. AI tools are used similarly to how journalists use news wire services — as a starting point that is shaped, verified, and contextualised by our editorial team.
We do not publish AI-generated content without human review and author attribution. Our AI tools have no access to unpublished information and cannot break news — all reporting is based on publicly available sources.
If you spot an error in our coverage — factual, statistical, or contextual — please contact us via the Contact page. We will review the correction request within 24 hours and, if valid, update the article with a visible correction note indicating what changed and when.
We do not silently delete or rewrite articles that contain errors. Transparency is part of our editorial commitment.
esport.is earns revenue through API subscriptions, affiliate commissions (gear links and Amazon Prime), and display advertising. Affiliate relationships do not influence editorial coverage. We do not accept payment for positive coverage, sponsored editorial disguised as news, or any form of pay-to-rank placement.
Gear affiliate links in player profiles are clearly identified. All affiliate relationships are disclosed in our footer.
